Basic rules are as follows:  Unless stated, all rules are the same as Stittsville Minor Softball.

1. We will be using 11” balls.

2. We will be using midget boys distances (60 ft) between the bases.
Pitching will be 46' for the guys, and 42' for the girls (optional).

3. There will be a 7 run maximum runs per inning, with the last inning being unlimited runs.

4. There will be no new inning started after 1 hour 40 minutes. There will also be a 2 hour maximum time limit for the game.  If the game is not completed, the score will be taken from the last complete inning played.

5. A female pitcher must pitch a minimum of 2 complete innings. (1 inning = 3 outs or 7 runs).
If she hasn’t, the inning with the least amount of runs scored for the opposing team will be a  7 run inning.  Be careful as this could cost you the game.

6. Male pitchers may be required to slow down the speed of the pitches. This will be to the discretion of the umpire. If a coach believes the pitcher is pitching too fast, they can consult the umpire about it. NOTE: The pitcher will not necessarily have to slow down pitches for the male players.

7. If a player hits a homerun (over the fence), they are asked to go find the ball. We have a limited supply of game balls and need to recover as many as possible.

8. It is recommended that players do not wear shorts for the games. The field is very rough at times when sliding, however they can if they so choose.

12. Infield fly rule is NOT in effect for this league.

13. If both teams have at least 10 players, a 10th player will be permitted to be fielding.  This will mean 4 outfielders instead of three.

14. We would like to keep games on Sundays and Tuesdays as much as possible. If you will not have enough players for a game, please give you coach as much notice as possible.  I may be able to find a spare for your team if necessary.  If I do not receive enough notice, and as a result can not find an alternative for your game, you may end up forfeiting.

15. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to talk to me at the game, or call me.  Thank you for choosing to play this year, and hopefully we will make it a fun season!
